高松市の子供向け英会話教室サマースクール English Conversation Summer School for Kids in Takamatsu

今年のサマースクールは大盛況に終わりました。参加された生徒の保護者の方からいただいたコメントをいくつかご紹介します。

「兄妹で参加しましたが、帰ってくると家でも英語が出てきたり、二人で英語を言い合ったりしていてびっくりしました！」（NatsumiちゃんとKoutaくんのお母様より）

「サマースクールも明日で最後という日の夜、そのことを子供に話すとしくしく泣いて終わりたくないと言い、本当に楽しいんだなと実感しました。」（Hiyoriちゃんのお母様より）

また、小学生の生徒の中には「来年もまた同じメンバーで一緒に勉強したい！」とリクエストをしてくれる子供もいました。今年は本当にうまくいったので、私達の方でも来年は幼稚園児のクラスを２つ、小学生のクラスを２つに増やそうかと考えています。今年は幼稚園児・小学生共にそれぞれ１つしかクラスがありませんでした。

今回好評だったのは、「グリルド　チーズ　サンドイッチ」を皆で作って食べることでした。工作類もとても人気がありました。私（Kevin）は、このサマースクール期間中に使用した特別なワークブックを皆が喜んでやってくれたのも嬉しかったです。サマースクール中は、全て（工作やクッキングまでも！）英語で通しました。子供達はすばらしい時間を過ごし、多くのことを学んだと思います。教える私達の方にとってもすばらしい時間でした。

We had a great time doing the summer school this year.  Here are just a few comments from some of the mothers and kids.  Natsumi and Kouta’s mom said, ‘My son and daughter joined and after they came home from class, they were saying some English words and sometimes playing in English.  I was very surprised.’  The night before the last day of classes, Hiyori’s mom mentioned that the next day would be the last day of classes.  Hiyori cried a little and said that she didn’t want the classes to end.

Also, some elementary school students made a special request to study together with the same students again next summer.  It went so well this year, that next year we are thinking of holding two courses for elementary school kids and two for kindergarten kids.  This year, we only had one of each.

The big hit this year was making and eating grilled cheese sandwiches.  The arts and crafts were very popular, too.  I was also happy that the students enjoyed working in the special workbooks that we used during the summer course.  Everything was done in English, even the arts, crafts, and cooking.  The kids had a great time, and learned a lot.  The teachers had a great time, too.
